Joining and dividing
Foam crosslinking provides shape stability even after many years, longer lifetimes and the possibility of easy joining by hot air,
when it comes to foam melting and permeation of layers, which makes the connection last. Note: With various types of non crosslinked foams,
this solution is very complicated. Another connection option is gluing with chloroprene glue types, which also produces very good results.
Yatex foams are easily dividable by cutting and possibly shearing, chopping and one can connect them by hand (with pins, e.g. tube insulation application).
One can process the material further by pressing, thermoforming or die cutting. One does not need to be an expert to work with this marerial as the work is very easy.
- Thanks to a closed cell structure, the Yatex material has excellent thermal insulating qualities, low absorbability and high resistance against water vapour diffusion.
- While using Yatex foam with laminate aluminous or PE foil it is possible to achieve practically absolute inpermeability of vapour.
- Yatex foams have remarkable chemical tolerance and it is possible to use them in a wide thermal range.
- Abilities to absorb crashes and drown noises such as knocking or footsteps are also excellent.
Flammability
Yatex foams are available in easy, moderate or difficult combustible designs - B1, B2, B3 (according to DIN 4102).
